Game Developer • App Developer • Soon to be Web Developer

The reason I make videogames is coincidentally the same as why I play them, because it's fun.

My love for video games started at a young age, and it has driven me to pursue a career in game development. I specialize in creating games that are fun and engaging. Throughout my university degree I strove to make complete and professional projects accurate to specifications given.

Afraid of the Dark?

Unreal Engine • C++ • PC/Controller

Afraid of the Dark? is a first person shooter horror game where you play as a soldier tasked with exploring locations haunted by Shadows and clearing the locations of them. While having night vision, use your gun to shoot out the lights to keep the Shadows at bay, the Shadows spawn in the shadows created by light and therefore can only be destroyed by it use your flashlight to defeat them.

Nature Crawls

Unreal • Blueprints

My final year project in the game development course. A dungeon crawler game where you fight robotic enemies who are trying to destroy nature in order to build their factories. The player is a nature conservationist who gets his weapons from fusing his soul with South Africa's Big Five.

  • I worked on all facets of the game besides the art side mainly focusing on enemies, UI and stats and overall making sure the full game worked.

Kick The Kicks

Unity • C#

A project we had to make based on the advergame genre. I love Pokémon and wanted to make a game similar to it. I focused on learning how to do inventory systems and managing multiple creatures along with this.

About

I’m a game developer who likes to be involved in all facets of Game Development. The more I learn while developing the more I enjoy it. While the artistic side is not my strong suit I am well versed in working with talented artists and combining their skills with mine to make beautiful games. I enjoy building systems that feel good to play, then polishing the experience until it’s simple and clear.

Right now I’m looking for opportunities in Game Development (intern/junior) and collaborative projects. I am also planning on getting my masters in Game Development this year.
